  • During play, please keep your shirt tucked into your pants.
  • For your own protection, to reduce the risk of heat illness, please wear a hat or cap while playing.

During play

Cart operation

  • To avoid being thrown from the cart owing to sudden braking or acceleration or cornering, please grip the cart handrail. While riding, also be sure to always keep your head, hands, arms, legs, and feet inside the cart.

On course behavior

  • When making shots or performing practice swings:
    • 1. Ensure that no one is standing near or approaching.
    • 2. Never play shots until the preceding group of players is out of the range.
    • 3. If you mishit a ball and it flies off in such a way as to put any other person at risk of being struck, always loudly shout “Fore!”
  • Despite your best effort, if your ball should happen to intrude into the playing space of the preceding party, immediately go forward and make a polite and cordial apology.
  • Sensor systems are fitted to prevent collisions between motorized golf carts. The sensors do not detect people: always keep out of the way of golf carts.

Pace of play

  • Please proceed around the course at a fairly rapid pace. The target time for a half round is 2 hours 15 minutes.

To keep play smooth for everyone

  • Keep pace with the group in front. Never keep the group behind waiting.
  • When approaching your next shot, take with you two or three clubs that you think you might need.
  • Before your turn comes, be ready to take your shot.
  • After recovering your sunk ball, quickly proceed to the next tee.
  • Spend no longer than five minutes searching for a lost ball.
  • If there are people walking near your ball, walk to the ball, do not travel in the cart.
  • Never spend overlong considering your putting line.
  • Be aware of the situation on the course and kindly respond accordingly.

If emergency evacuation is required

  • If a siren sounds or if wireless alerts are received on the golf cart, for example, warning of lightning strikes or an evacuation advisory, immediately stop playing and promptly remove yourself to the nearest evacuation hut or tea house. The location of evacuation points can be found on evacuation diagrams in the course guide displayed in the golf carts.

Prevention of driving under the influence of alcohol

  • To further the effort to eradicate drunk driving, rigorously avoid drinking and driving or facilitating others to do so. Please cooperate in the Designated Driver Movement.
